ARTIST BIO

Michael was inspired to commence his career as an artist after completing a Bachelor of Arts majoring in Art History.

Michael’s art work is characterised by his striking use of hyper realism. His paintings are closely cropped and intently focussed on the texture of skin creating a microscopic view of the subject.

To achieve the effect of a magnified image he uses mixed media of acrylic ink and paint on hand-made Italian art board.

Michael exhibited his art in the 2010 Hobson Bay Art in Public Places and achieved an excellent result with all of the paintings being purchased. During the last fifteen years he has also received numerous commissions for his art work which have ranged from landscapes through to portraits.
